- 5+ years of IT experience with 4+ years in Oracle/PLSQL
development
- Full SDLC experience including analysis, design,
development, QA
- Experience of database related activities such
as designing data models, develop programming specs,
develop ER diagrams, develop logical/physical data
model, etc
- Experience with a range of Oracle versions –
7i, 8i, 9i and 10g and the differences between those
platforms
- Experience of one or more scripting languages
such as Unix shell scripts or Perl
- Experience with data and functional modeling phases
of the database design, by defining the data entities
and their attributes, classifying the relationships
among the objects and drafting the general data
entity hierarchy and relationship using ER diagrams
- Experience of doing other non-programming activities
such as database design, database optimization,
documentation, data migration script development,
query optimization, performance tuning, etc
